BP&T and COVID-19

We are very grateful for all your patience throughout this difficult period. If you have taken advantage of our virtual appointments, thank you for your support. We have received very positive feedback following these

appointments and they are something we will continue to make available in the future.

After so long of being closed and limited to urgent appointments only, we have finally been given the go ahead to start routine appointments.  There will still be many precautions in place, and likely to remain in place for quite some time. These precautions are for the safety of both patients and our staff and also to help secure the business through these difficult times.

What to expect when you visit the practice:

  • Appointments will now be booked with increased time intervals between treatments, to allow us to undertake the necessary extra cleaning and to minimise contact between patients. This means we can only accommodate 75% of our previous capacity per day. We will be recalling patients with more urgent problems first and in order of when they were previously cancelled.
     

  • In order to minimise patient contact, upon arriving at the surgery you will not be able to enter the building. Please wait outside the door (applying social distancing) until your appointment time. A member of staff will come to let you in.

 

  • You will be required to wear a face mask. If you have one please bring it with you; if not then you can purchase one at the clinic at a cost of £1.00.

 

  • On arrival your temperature will be checked and you will be asked to sanitise your hands.

 

  • Covid-19 screening forms and further appointment information will have been emailed prior to your appointment to save unnecessary contacts and they are also available to download at the top of this page. Don’t worry if you do not have access to a printer, they can be completed on arrival.

 

  • Your clinician will be wearing appropriate PPE - an apron, facemask and gloves will be put on prior to treatment. We will look different but we are still the same underneath - albeit very much warmer!

  • Payments can be made via card or mobile payment link, or BACS transfer if requested. If necessary, we will accept cash, but please ensure you have the correct money and place in an envelope so contacts can remain minimal.

  • In addition to the extra time required for every appointment, we have seen huge increases in costs of medical supplies and Personal Protective Equipment, which of course we are now using so much more of.  Unfortunately, we have had to make the decision to increase our treatment fees. This annual increase would normally occur in October, however, the new fees will be effective immediately. I appreciate this comes at a time of financial concern for many, and it’s not a decision we have taken lightly, but the increase in costs are very much in line with other local clinics and are essential for the future survival of Banstead Physio & Therapies. We are constantly monitoring the answerphones remotely throughout the day and will contact you as soon as possible.
