Our
golf screening programme has been designed to provide individuals that play golf
a chance to have a ‘golf MOT’, either to discuss current problems or used to
be as a tool to identify ‘problem areas’ which may be causing you pain and a
higher handicap than necessary! Golfers,
at some time, will suffer a back, neck or soft tissue injury either whilst
playing golf or which will restrict them playing golf. Good
posture, spinal and soft tissue mobility are essential, not only to improve back
swing and follow through in golf, but will also help PREVENT musculoskeletal
injuries such as disc problems, joint stiffness and muscular strain. General
fitness, resistance to fatigue, ability to practice for longer periods,
resistance to injury and muscular imbalance can all be improved through physical
training. This can be in the form of strengthening or stretching.
